The Passenger

Since this past week a good friend helped me take photos of a few pieces, I thought it was a good a time as any to do a blog update.

Here is a monster costume that I made for a short, collaborative, monster movie with KJ Martinet, Toren Falck, and Carly Hickey entitled "The Passenger" starring Robyn Ng as the "Jaded Asian Girl"

In making him, I loosely based his design off of some research I was doing on the zanni, an archetype comic servant of the Commedia dell'arte (The Italian comedy). His name is Guazetto.
Also his fur is made out of gold curling ribbon, he sheds a lot.

Also here's an interview with Robyn Ng on her role of "Jaded Asian Girl"

Iofur's Defeat

How's another throwback, an illustration of a scene taken from Phillip Pullman’s His Dark Materials: The Golden Compass, where the villain Iofur is defeated by Iorak. It's dimensions are 46” x 24” x 24”.

Mysterious Groundhog Punch

It is believed by a group of dapper gentlemen who call themselves the “Inner Circle” that Punxatawney Phil has been alive for over a hundred and twenty years due to the fact that every summer, he is given a sip of “Mysterious Groundhog Punch” that keeps him alive for seven more years.

Backtracking.

Here's to a little bit of backtracking and showing some older work.

This is an installation piece illustrating a scene from the Japanese children's fairy tale The Boy Who Drew Cats in which the King Cat and the Goblin Rat are about to face off. The dimensions are roughly 8 ft long 6 ft tall and 2 ft wide done in mixed media. This was my first foray into working in this realm and I'd say it was a very important project to me.

Goblin Rat, what a guy.

First Post?!?! What?!?!

Welcome to the start of my blog. I hope it's everything you dreamed of and more.

So to start off, here is a self portrait portraying an inner demon. I decided to try something new and make a mask.

Here's a couple of horrible Photo Booth photos to give you a look into it's process.

Sooo Naked!

In the coming days there will be more to come... Hopefully.
